Roberto Rampinelli was born in Bergamo, Italy in 1948. He attended the School of Art at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan and International Courses Technology Engraving of Urbino, under the guidance of Carlo Ceci for lithography and Renato Bruscaglia for engraving. From 1981-1988, he taught engraving technique at the School of Art of the Sforzesco Castle in Milan. In 1993, he received the Award for the Ancona engraving Golden Broom and the first prize at the 2nd Biennial of Graphic Town of Castelleone. Rampinelli received the first prize for Graphics at the National Competition Agna (1996) and in 1999 he won the Fourth National Biennial of Engraving in Acqui Terme.
