Pennsylvania artist Ronald Romano received a BS in Art Education (1979) as well as a MA (1984) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He strives to create the illusion of vast depth on a two-dimensional surface through his form-layered non-objective paintings. Romano has been featured in several group and solo exhibitions at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Pittsburgh, PA, 1982; Miller Gallery, Cincinnati, OH, 1983; Concept Art Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA, 1985; Westmorland Museum, Greensburg, PA, 1987; California University of Pittsburgh, California, PA, 1989; and The Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA, 1991. His work is held in the following collections: IBM (Pittsburgh, PA), Westinghouse Corporation (Pittsburgh, PA), Hyatt Regency (Cincinnati, OH), ALCOA Company of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA), and Allegheny General Hospital (Pittsburgh, PA). Ron Romano is a retired art teacher at Avelia Elementary Center.
