Pennsylvania artist Ronald Romano received a BS in Art Education (1979) as well as a MA (1984) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He strives to create the illusion of vast depth on a two-dimensional surface through his form-layered non-objective paintings. Romano has been featured in several group and solo exhibitions at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Pittsburgh, PA, 1982; Miller Gallery, Cincinnati, OH, 1983; Concept Art Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA, 1985; Westmorland Museum, Greensburg, PA, 1987; California University of Pittsburgh, California, PA, 1989; and The Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, PA, 1991. His work is held in the following collections: IBM (Pittsburgh, PA), Westinghouse Corporation (Pittsburgh, PA), Hyatt Regency (Cincinnati, OH), ALCOA Company of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA), and Allegheny General Hospital (Pittsburgh, PA). Ron Romano is an art teacher at Avelia Elementary Center.
